    With the motto “Jugamos en equipo – Une-nos a ilusão” [We play as a team –We are united by hope], the Iberian Bid introduced itself today before the group of FIFA inspectors who are visiting Spain and Portugal in these days. The Iberian Bid’s motto is a reflection of the union and hope of these two countries to become the hosts of the FIFA World Cup 2018/2022, the decision about which will be made by the FIFA Executive Committee on December 2nd next.

  • The Home Secretary Mr. Pérez Rubalcaba welcomes the FIFA inspection group to Spain

    Second day of visits by the FIFA inspection group in Spain and Portugal during which stood out the official reception that the Spanish Home Secretary, Mr. Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba, and the Secretary of State for Sport, Mr. Jaime Lissavetzky, offered them on the premises of the Higher Council for Sports. They also visited the facilities in Valdebebas and the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, along with the IFEMA centre and El Retiro Park, the place proposed for the installation of the Fan Zone for all the fans.
